[[en]]Marcelo Brennand (Recife, 1981) is a rising filmmaker in the Brazilian scene. Corral is his second feature film and has won two silver colon prizes for Best Technical-Artistic Contribution and Best Actor at the 46th Festival de Huelva (Spain, 2020). In 2008, Marcelo wrote, directed and produced his first feature “Door to Door” (Porta a Porta), a documentary about the corruption in the political elections system that inspired Corral’s script. In 2015 he directed the short film “Two Women” (Duas Mulheres). This film won awards for Best Actress and Best Foreign Film at LAIUFF - Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival, Best Foreign Film at WIFF Williamsburg Independent Film Festival, Best Edition on IWFF Indian World Film Festival and made it into the official selection at NFMLA New Filmmakers Los Angeles.

Desenvolveu o documentário Porta a Porta (2008), atuando como autor, diretor, roteirista e produtor. Em 2015 dirigiu o curta-metragem Duas Mulheres, que foi lançado em 2016. Dirigiu e produziu o filme Curral, em 2018, seu primeiro longa metragem de ficção que foi selecionado para diversos festivais entre eles a 44a Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo, o 46 Festival de Huelva, onde ganhou o prêmio de melhor ator e qualidade técnico-artística e o 24th Brooklyn Film Festival – BFF, onde saiu como vencedor de melhor filme. O filme será lançado em 2022 no mercado Brasileiro e internacional. Atualmente está trabalhando no desenvolvimento de dois longas metragens, Holiday que tem roteiro de Hilton Lacerda e Helder Aragão e Rádio Pirata.
[[en]]Bárbara Maranhão got her bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Studies. Since2008, she has worked as a cultural producer, with a focus on audiovisual and visual arts. Founder of the “Art at the Station Cultural Equipment” (Equipamento Cultural Arte na Usina) and President of the Society of the Friends of Mamam—Museum of Modern Art Aloísio Magalhães, she produced the first Art Festival at the Station in 2015. In audiovisual, she was executive producer of the documentary “Shelter of Dreams” (Abrigo dos Sonhos) (2013) and producing director of the documentary series “That’s How we Create” (Se Cria Assim) (2014), both under the direction of Claudio Assis. She was head of the executive production of the documentary and book “Living History of Advertising in Pernambuco” (História Viva da Propaganda de Pernambuco) (2014). Most recently she worked as producer for Jaraguá Produções on the documentary “Master Di” (Mestra Di), which was supported by the Aldir Blanc law. As a partner at Zéfiro films she produced the film “Corral” (Curral) and, together with Marcelo Brennand, is currently developing the production company’s latest projects, the features Holiday and “Pirate Radio” (Rádio Pirata).
[[pt]]Bárbara Maranhão é formada em Arquitetura e Urbanismo e atua como produtora cultural desde 2008 com foco em audiovisual e artes plásticas. Fundadora do Equipamento Cultural Arte na Usina e Presidente da Sociedade Amigos do Mamam, foi produtora do primeiro Festival Arte na Usina (2015). Na área de audiovisual, fez produção executiva do documentário “Abrigo dos Sonhos” (2013) e direção de produção da série de documentários “Se cria assim” (2014) ambos de direção geral Claudio Assis. Esteve à frente da produção executiva do documentário e livro “História Viva da Propaganda de Pernambuco” (2014) e mais recentemente assina como Produtora junto com a Jaraguá Produções o documentário “Mestra Di” realizado através da lei Aldir Blanc. Como parceira da Zéfiro filmes produziu o filme “Curral” e atualmente esta junto com Marcelo Brennand desenvolvendo os novos projetos da produtora, os longas metragem “Holiday” e “Rádio Pirata”.
